I recently bought a Zepto Hydra A17 laptop for my gaming needs. I was trying to find some information about this laptop online and I couldn’t find reviews from actual users.
Here is a quick review in a nut-shell:
The laptop has a Nvidia Geforce 9800M GTX with 1GB Graphics RAM. This was my key reason for getting this laptop. 3DMark06 benchmark is attached below.
What’s good:
- The graphics card works excellently with computer games. I play mostly RTS games so I haven’t played anything like Crysis.
- The keyboard is really good. The feel of the keys is very tactile.
- Build of the laptop is excellent. The body is made of aluminum or very high quality plastic.
- The LCD is very firm at the hinges. It does not wobble.
- The laptop is upgradeable with newer graphics cards and CPU in future.
What’s not so good:
- The LCD display is not very bright.
- Speakers are not loud. I had to resort to using ear-phones while watching movies.
