Hello! My name is Ram Kola. I am technical manager and solution architect implementing enterprise systems with Singapore Polytechnic, a renowned Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) in Singapore.
I started this blog when I was leading our Documentum project. Over the years I have completed the project and moved on to IBM Websphere Portal and Mobile App development with IOS, Android and Sencha Touch. Many mobile apps rolled out by my team are listed here on Singapore Polytechnic Website. This blog will also cover the other technologies I work with and will not be confined just to Documentum.
Coming to Documentum, it is a great product. However, like all enterprise software, it poses some interesting challenges during design and implmentation phases. During the course of our project, I had many frustrating days and sleepless nights trying to find answers to some common questions that nobody seemed to know the exact answers. The information was either spread all over the extensive documentation or was captive by consultants. How I wished there was some place where I could get answers fast. This is my small attempt to make a difference to the Documentum user community through this blog.
NOTE: Although I tried my best to present accurate information, I make no gurantees of its correctness. The posts here are meant to give intelligent folk like you some new ideas and to carry out your own investigation from there. If you build upon some idea here, or figure out a better way of solving a problem, please share it here or on your own blog.
